ROSWELL, New Mexico, May 12 /Christian Newswire/ -- Alien Resistance, a Christian counter-cult outreach ministry, will hold an all-Christian-speaker Symposium on aliens during the annual Roswell UFO Festival July 3-5th, 2009. The 11 participants include 4 PhDs, 2 doctorates of ministry, 2 pastors, 2 ordained ministers, and several pastoral counselors, with 12 books written between them on the UFO/Alien topic. The Symposium will educate on the UFO/alien topic from a Biblical Christian perspective, with emphasis on counter-cult evangelism, creationism, and spiritual warfare. The event is free for the public to attend, and will be held at the Best Western Sally Port Inn Ballroom. Tens of thousands of people interested in the UFO/Alien topic are expected to attend the Roswell UFO/Alien Festival this year.
Organizers assert that, "From a Biblical Christian perspective it becomes clear that 'aliens' are actually the evil spirits of the Bible. This idea is backed up experientially with the evidence of numerous testimonies of 'abductees', which show that 'alien abduction' experiences stop in the name and authority of Jesus Christ. Also the sinful behaviors of the 'aliens' behind abductions, the false gospels and new age messages they proclaim, and their supernatural powers so very reminiscent of those described in the Bible as being had by angels, all adds up to make clear that 'aliens' are in fact the evil spirits of the Bible."
Participants will include: William Alnor Ph.D., author of "UFOs in the New Age" and "UFO Cults in the New Millennium"; Gary Bates, from Creation Ministries International Australia, author of "Alien Intrusion: UFOs and the Evolution Connection"; Mike Bennett Ph.D., demonology researcher and host of "FutureQuake" Nashville-based Christian FM talk radio program; Pastor Russ Dizdar, Cult and Occult survivors specialist and deliverance minister; Joe Jordan O.M., alien abduction researcher and deliverance minister; Michael S. Heiser Ph.D., doctor in Hebrew Bible and Semitic Languages and author of "The Facade"; Guy Malone, author of "UFO Phenomena and the Bible"; Mrs. Malone, author of "A Modern Guide to Demons and Fallen Angels"; L.A. Marzulli D.Min., author of "Politics, Prophecy, and the Supernatural"; Pastor Chris Ward D.Min., deliverance minister and author of "Case Files of an Internet Exorcist"; and Stephen Yulish Ph.D., author of "The Real Story of UFOs."
Knowing a lot about a field doesn’t mean one knows everything. You have less answers for stuff in this field than I do . . . by a huge margin.
Odd, I see that you have a very strong need to construe those critters as satanic just so you can think you are the ultimate object of God's love in the Universe. I merely see ETs as part of the bigger picture of Creation, which can only be to the Glory of God. You ignore the notion that I think there are good ETs and bad ETs, just like for humans. By doing so, you assume that I presume that ETs are all good. I'm not sure how that supports your argument. You want to assume a supernatural status merely to protect your beliefs. You just can't stand the notion of a larger Creation. You want to be special. I am willing to accept a God with an immagination to Create BIG, you are not.
Thanks.
Maybe I can respond to some of these earlier posts, now.
Oh my God!! That is the most wonderful thing I have ever seen for quite some time!!!
Thx for the ping.
A virus is NOT an entirely different life form.
A virus has a DNA sequence that gets turned into RNA (or just RNA) that in the context of the right molecular machines will code for an amino acid sequence to make a functional protein.
A human being has a DNA sequence that gets turned into RNA that in the context of the right molecular machines will code for an amino acid sequence to make a functional protein.
The only fundamental difference is that the virus uses some other cells molecular machines and raw resources.
Some say a virus is not alive, but nobody credible claims they have anything to do with alien life. It is simply an example of the SAME kind of life we see here on Earth, just reduced to its most minimalist form.
;)
There’s also consistent marks left on their bodies—symbols, across the globe . . . which researchers keep mostly secret to help weed out the flakey from the authentic.
And, there’s the cases of the gynecologist examining a baby at the end of the 1st trimester on a Tuesday afternoon . . . and after another abduction experience that night . . . examining the woman again Wed morning and there’s no baby left in the woman’s body at all.
Maybe I don't have enough "answers" because I don't post anything and everything from ATS and the like?
The phenomenon behaved like a conditioning process. The logic of conditioning uses obscurity and confusion to achieve its goal while hiding its mechanism.
That statement can be accurately applied to Obama.;-)
True, true.
Methinks your level of reading of the literature leaves something to be desired.
BTW, spirit possession etc. shares A LOT in common with alien abductions.
And, occultic activities have been demonstrated to have given an in-road opening up alien contact events to the individual.
I find your assertion about that greatly flawed.
After 49 years of study . . . I have no doubt at all that you are simply wrong.
The breakdown is with you. I am telling you that I don't buy into your "take" on this stuff; and, I am telling you why. I've read mountains of this stuff myself, and have been a Christian all of my life. My father was a Paster in the LCMS, so I can assure you that I've been drilled full of holes with Doctrine.
I see a different picture when everything is taken together. My view gives credit to the expanse of Creation and the uncomprehensible power of God. Your view bottles up God's Creation into your own personal reference system, which is curiously limited in scope.
If that’s where the EVIDENCE leads rational fair-minded folk.
It’s NOT the case that the EVIDENCE leads there.
Flat earth society comes to mind.
This is not such a topic.
Bingo.
I would not “believe” in “aliens” if they landed in my front yard with an entire fleet of “flying saucers”.
I would be terrified, yes, but hope that I would remember to use the Word of God to banish them.
Demons/devils/imps/fallen angels/etc simply adapt their form and ‘technology’ to suit the age in which they’re operating.
Thousands of years ago, they were “gods” to the heathens.
Then “fairies”, “elves” and the like.
They are ~not~ stupid and they are now simply morphing into what our “modern minds” can wrap themselves around, ie. “aliens”, and indeed, we have come to “expect” thanks to the Roswell jazz and the bajillions of TV shows/movies that centralize their plots around them.
[And I don’t believe in any of ‘em]
During the [lousy] remake of “War of the Worlds”, I was probably the only person who laughed when the aliens fried the “True Believers” who assembled on that rooftop to greet their “saviors”.
That’ll learn ‘em....:)
As is yours. I never asked for your help. My self navigation system is working well. I admire your Faith and dedication, as well as your tireless efforts in this research.
You and I have come to different conclusions. I put my Faith in God, and I hope he provides a class on this topic once we cross over to Him. I do know that I'm one of His, and he will take me home regardless of how this crap actually works.
That is what troubles me. You don't have a red telephone on your desk that connects directly to God. You also have learned everything you know through filters of various sorts, not to mention people of varying intellect, training, and mental health. We know that a certain amount of it is "disinformation", but don't have any idea how extensive that distortion might be. You just might be not be right.
On the flip side, what if God “created big” universes but alone, amongst them all, he created *us*?
Now *that* is much more awe-inspiring than a whole bunch of “earths” with a whole bunch of “people”.
To be singular in God’s heart, love, mind and infinite creation is a far greater miracle, IMO.
[ever read the Bradbury short story about the astronaut who races from planet to planet for *years* trying to “catch up to the cosmic Christ”?]
Odd, I see that you have a very strong need to construe those critters as satanic just so you can think you are the ultimate object of God's love in the Universe.
WRONG. I started out and went for some decade or so hypothesizing that SOME ET's were on God's side in all this. At some point, I had to be honest with myself and the evidence and realize that the data did not support such a construction on reality.
SCRIPTURE indicates that mankind is God's preferred, crowning achievement of Creation. That's God's perspective. I'll side with God's perspective every time.
I merely see ETs as part of the bigger picture of Creation, which can only be to the Glory of God.
OF COURSE, ET's and all else in creation will ultimately work to God's Glory. He IS that BIG.
You ignore the notion that I think there are good ETs and bad ETs, just like for humans.
WRONG. I haven't ignored it at all. I've said it's a wrong conclusion, wrong assumption, wrong interpretation of the evidence. And I've noted how & why the evidence indicates that.
By doing so, you assume that I presume that ETs are all good.
WRONG. I assume no such thing. I'm asserting that your conclusion that ANY of the 57, or 70 or 90 "races" dinking around with planet earth are good--I'm asserting that THAT conclusion that ANY are good is WRONG.
I'm not sure how that supports your argument. You want to assume a supernatural status merely to protect your beliefs.
WRONG. Though I'm not real certain what precisely you are saying. I have no need to assume anything. I've been happy for 49 years to let the data, the evidence to take me wherever it leads and I've trusted God to help me make sense out of that. He has. My beliefs are secure in Christ.
You just can't stand the notion of a larger Creation.
THAT'S SOOOOOO THOROUGHLY WRONG! THIS IS SOOOOO LAUGHABLE. I gather you haven't paid that close attention to my postings over the years hereon. I'm usually the one asserting that someone's trying to put God in too tiny a box. You don't seem to have a clue about me and what I can and can't stand about much of anything. Your assumptions about me are striking out far more than I would have ever expected of you.
You want to be special.
That's not an issue. God has made me and every other human special and He's said so. I'll choose HIS construction on reality every time.
Scripture says--which of the angels has He said, sit here and rule with me . . . yet humans who trust in Christ and love God unsurpassingly can count on ruling and reigning with Christ--evidently over vast rules and endless ages.
One can continue to deny God's Words in Scripture as long as one can get away with it. I don't advise it, however.
I am willing to accept a God with an immagination to Create BIG, you are not.
YOU ARE VERY WHOLESALE WRONG ABOUT ME YET AGAIN. I suspect my willingness to understand God's vast propensity to CREATE BIG may be larger than yours.
