Red Ear Sliders are carnivorous. We used to put ours into a little kids pool in the yard and introduced about a thousand feeder goldfish.
Dinner was served and they loved it.

Wonder what stopped her from laying eggs and continuing life? Volcanic blast?Nah.
With the last of her strength, she dragged herself to the breeding ground, and was just starting to lay the eggs, when some guy came along, picked her up, and took her back to the pond. ;-)
