The guy with the broken leg - yeah, he was packin’. Gotta love it! (I noticed it right before he told the guy “...and I won’t have to answer stupid questions about driving here...” or whatever that was!

One thing I thought odd. He gave a HUGE congrats to the jockey, as would be expected. But not even a pat on the head for the horse.

I know I’m viewing it as a “pet” owner where a pat on the head to a dog that does well is common. I suppose this is all business and the horse is just a tool. But still! (I know, too many Disney movies.)

Thanks I wasn’t sure, I though I saw it on his right just past the buckle when he was interviewed after the race. The horse won because he had the speed, stamina and a good jock that took him the short way. That takes skill to get the horse through a hole like that.

He was right to credit the jock and prior trainer that had qualified the horse. The horse was still hyped and a pet may or may not be a good idea. I saw the horse jump every time Borel smacked him on the neck. That horse was ready to run again and had to be pulled down after the race. Good sign for the Preakness.
