Our Savior has Created So Many Wonderful Things; what an Awesome Lord He is ours!
InDEED, He HAS, And All FOR OUR Pleasure!
The LORD bless you and keep you;
" The LORD make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you;
"The LORD lift up His countenance upon you, And give you peace. ~Numbers 6:24-26
Gosh, I missed this one yesterday! Hope that the poor Kitty had more than I did “the peach yogurt”. Bet that stuff will make me that skinny too...LOL! I love yogurt with bits of peaches but it isn’t ‘rib sticking’. LOL!
Philip Pullman is a gifted writer of fantasy books. His Dark Materials trilogy includes The Golden Compass, The Subtle Knife, and The Amber Spyglass and is very popular among young readers. But below the surface of these sympathetic characters and compelling subplots is a sinister purpose. The story culminates in a great war against God.
In these books, Pullman views the fall of Satan as a righteous cause for personal independence from Gods tyrannical control. He implies that Satans attempt to usurp the throne of God was the right thing to do!
In the book of Revelation, we read of the endtimes: War broke out in heaven . . . . [And Satan] was cast to the earth (Rev. 12:7-9). That future war is being preceded by an earthly conflict on the battlefield of our minds.
We must recognize Satan for what he isa liar (John 8:44). His strategy is to take Gods words out of context and twist them into falsehood (Gen. 3:1-7). Our best defense against him is to hold firmly to the truth of Gods Word (Eph. 6:10-18).
Our loving heavenly Father is not willing that any should perish (2 Peter 3:9). But neither will He force our obedience. He leaves the choice to us.
Flying over the landmark "Leaning Tower of Pisa" listening to the romantic sounds of Luciano Tajoli, Amy's Place is on our way today to...... Rome, Italy ~ The City of Eternal Love! It's difficult to describe the romance of Rome in a few words; a city so vast and rich in art, monuments and exquisite views; a city of enormous historical significance, which has preserved its charm and independence throughout the centuries. Love is forever in the air in this "Eternal City"! |
Yorkie and Jaycee, thank you for being such gracious hostesses yesterday. I knew you would be!
Now, I am as American as they come, but I LOVE Italian food and thought we might share some of our favorite Italian recipes today. Below is my favorite Italian dish to make for company, though I could eat pizza or spaghetti, lasagna, fettuccine with alfredo sauce, or any other Italian food at least once a week!
2 cups cooked, diced chicken |
1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper 2 cups chicken broth 3/4 cup half-and-half 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese, divided 1 Tbsp. lemon juice 1/2 lb. sliced mushrooms |
Cook pasta "al dente" according to package directions. |
Thanks, jaycee! I caught a few of your posts—sounds like you’ve been really busy as well!
Love your poem and the flower.
So happy you had a good day yesterday, and hope to see you in "Rome" today. Let's go grab a pizza or something. :)
Loved your Rise and Shine graphic yesterday, yorkie!
Wonderful graphic and excellent music. Today sure sounds like a lot of fun and excitement and I will try to participate when I can. I do have lots to do as yesterday was chilly and windy. I need to work outside...NOT NEED TO, I HAVE TO! I will be checking in sometime though.
I looked at your recipe and can’t wait for more. The one you posted sounds ‘out of this world’. I love everything Italian!
Thanks for your sweet compliment! We had fun and thats what is important! See ya when I can....
LOL! (”I’ll rise but I won’t shine.”)
Thanks for the adorable pic! And the sweet words! I’m finally starting to feel human again. It has been a long spring. Good for business, hard on employees!
The wedding was nice. Simple, in an old wooden church. Very nice.
We are all very excited about the new baby! Gbaby is too. May change his mind when he has permanent competition!
We turned the ducks out last evening. They’ve been coming right back, as they’re imprinted on #2 son. Yest they decided they were quite grown and wouldn’t come back. They’re still swimming around in the gut that leads out to the river/ocean. Fingers crossed. They can’t fly yet.
Thank you, Kitty, am glad you liked it. I had to find a robin to add! :) Thanks for your pretty blue good morning!
Groan!!! LOL! Looks like somebody shut up that rooster!
Fonts are so much fun! I think I finally got it! You know me, bringing up the rear. Sometimes I hesitate to learn as I think its going to be so hard and it really isn’t. It just takes me a little time but pretty things deserve my time...LOL!
Thank you, jaycee (she said in "Script MT Bold") :)
Beautiful poem & graphic! Perfect illustration for the poem - or perfect poem for the graphic! Either way, they were made for each other. :)
