For quite some time now, FReepers on both sides of this pit bull issue have been arguing, attacking, & harassing the "other side". What has this accomplished? Unfortunately very little except anger & strife amongst fellow republicans on this message board.
I think it has gotten to the point now where both sides should pretty much be able to concur that this is pointless, as it is unlikely that either side is going to change their mind.
We are all FReepers, and there is no use in turning against each other on any issue. We need to stay united to fight against political policies & laws that democrats are trying to implement.
Can we all agree from this point on, that not only do both sides have a right to post articles about pit bulls, either positive or negative, but that they have a right to discuss their views in their own thread without concern about the "other side" coming in to their thread to harass, attack or annoy them because of their views? (yes, I know that was a run on sentence...LOL!).
Basically, from now on, if you don't agree with the subject of the pit bull thread, either positive or negative, please, please don't go in it. Just let that "side" discuss it amongst themselves. If someone from "the other side" does come in to your thread & try to create trouble, just hit the "report abuse" button, then ignore them. Hopefully then they will get the message. This issue is not worth fighting amongst each other about.
I know that when these disagreements started in each others threads, I said some things that I regret, because that is not the type of person I am, or want to be. For that, I apologize.
So what do you say? Can both sides agree right now that we each have a right to disagree, and finally call a truce?
Thanks!!
All I have to say to my brother is “Dog Food Diet” and he starts laughing hysterically. One of my all time favorites.
Thanks. Great post.
I am of the opinion that I no longer trust the breed. Unfortunately, some breeders and owners are to blame.
But for all you pit lovers, more importantly, I agree to disagree ;)
After reading all of the posts so far, I’m afraid I must disagree. However, thanks for a very interesting thread. :)
>as the pit lovers would say.....but, but but he never bit anyone before, he was such a loving dog../S to the pit lovers.. <
Unlike the responsible, knowledgeable dog owners on here, who say, “the signs were all there, the owner should never have left the dog alone with the child, never have let the dog loose, never have kept the dog on a chain,” and on and on and on?
Probably to catch any interested caucus folks who scan for articles in those sections? I am not sure.
Hope you're not having a bad day otherwise. Dogs and cats, living together........
As in politics, fighting isn't going to change anyone’s opinion.
Just stating what I see.
Could you please take me off from the ping list? Chet has spoiled the doggy threads for me. Thanks.
I agree with you - “Debate is good.”
I reserve the right to respond to anyone who attacks my dog and her breed.
LOL.
I’m sorry, but I cannot stand by when I read pure lies being spread by persons who hate.
Even if that were true. I lnow how to use mine better than you yours. ;)
Yeah, I cannot stand the ASPCA, either.
You can already accomplish this. Just post in the Religion forum and label the thread “Pit Bull Caucus”.
“I have nothing more to say to you at all.”
Good! Then, shut up!
What's the whole pit bull conversation got to do with that and why do pit bull lovers/haters keep posting them?
I don't like pit bulls. If you do, keep them away from my yard, my dogs, my kids but do come over for coffee and discuss "political policies & laws that democrats are trying to implement" which are a far cry from these pit bull threads.
There are some of us who see both sides of the coin. We catch heck from all sides.
I don’t trust PBT types as a whole, but I do not want them banned (unless it’s a private party stating they can’t be on their property). No government banning.
