I had an idea that the secular ways of looking at it would be the most common ways. I bet that wouldn’t be the case 500 years ago, of course.
I always think the time travel aspect is the neatest one, and it solves the problem of the folks who say everything is too far apart to ever come in contact. I reckon it would depend on how hard it would be to time travel vs. some sort of spatial travelling that could go ftl or it’s equivalent like “folding space”,ect.
Neat stuff to think about anyhow.

Some ET races have reportedly laughed atypically—they rarely do—when asked once by some scientists about the faster than light travel and great distances etc.
They essentially said that we were too ignorant to understand how ridiculous that concern was.
Others have said that there are
3-4 DIFFERENT ways around that supposed ‘barrier.’
