So step one...Where do we start with the details? Would we just need a certain amount of signatures? If so, somebody should have been working the tea parties! :-)
Would we need someone in the house to sponsor it?

It seems like Perry’s already backpedaling as fast as he can, and I doubt KBH would take up the cause.

Perry is a jerk. He most likely said what he did as a lark, in order to (finally) get some conservative support. The fact that he’s so out of touch with the state meant that he had no idea what he would unleash.

I am interested in what Kay has to say...she was up 20 points for the governorship but could lose it all by laughing off this movement.

But it is still early, as the effects of the meltdown have not yet been felt (i.e., it’s getting bad, but it is still just a recession). In another year, just about everyone running for office in Texas will have to take secession seriously.
