I’m not trying to be deprecatory, I’m interested in this.
These are questions that I’m not smart enough to answer.
But one thing I do know is that if someone decided to try this, a half-assed attempt would be far, far worse than no attempt at all.
Obviously you’d needto get candidates into office that would allow you to present your idea to the state, but how are you going to get them into office?
Maybe a statewide coalition of business owners?
Assuming the state voted your way, what then?
What would you do when the feds decided to burn down a city to make a point?
What little I know of our history leads me to believe that the revolution was not lead by a rag-tag band of spontaneous patriots, but was fairly well organized by a few wealthy, dedicated men.
Legs, this isn’t about me, or how to do it, and it most certainly is not about taking up arms. It’s about a dialogue. I’m curious how many posts this thread will end up with. I’m hoping that we can get enough inertia to move the discussion on to other blogs, etc. etc.
