in 1979 one evening there was a loud knocking at our door. A neighbor asked my dad to have me bring my telescope outside (I had a cheapie thing that had the power of a pair of binoculars). I got it and went outside where a number of neighbors had gathered. They were watching a pair of extremely bright lights that would appear to hover, then move very fast to another position in the sky. They would fade, then get really bright. I tried to look at them through the telescope but they were too bright. The next day the news said nothing had happened, but for a couple of days there were military helicopters flying around, which never happened at any other time. I later learned that this seems to be the same night as the Cash-Landrum incident, which occured only a few miles away. I didn't learn about that until a few years ago.
I have no idea what I saw, but I wasn't the only one who saw those things. But i guess I'm a dope anyway...
Cool, UFO’s have landing lights and jet exhaust.
You’d think spacement would have decent night vision, if they are so advanced.
