Hi K-oneTexas, you quoted an article for us and it said — On February 11, Bloomberg Business News reported that China was seeking guarantees for its US Government debt (Story Here), and it now appears they got it. Well placed senior sources at the US Embassy in Beijing CONFIRM the formal written agreement was delivered by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton during her recent trip to China.

Note that the Bloomberg article started off this way —
Feb. 11 (Bloomberg) — China should seek guarantees that its $682 billion holdings of U.S. government debt wont be eroded by reckless policies, said Yu Yongding, a former adviser to the central bank.
The U.S. should make the Chinese feel confident that the value of the assets at least will not be eroded in a significant way, Yu, who now heads the World Economics and Politics Institute at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, said in response to e-mailed questions yesterday from Beijing. He declined to elaborate on the assurances needed by China, the biggest foreign holder of U.S. government debt.

So, it’s apparent that they’re talking about their worries about inflation coming from our printing presses. They’re probably seeking assurances that we’ll “boost” the payments to offset any “inflation” that we create by “our policies”. In other words, if our inflation rate is way high because of all the borrowing, then they’ll probably want something to offset the inflation rate for what they are loaning out. What that means, unfortunately, is *more money* — but *absolutely nothing* indicates *anything* about eminent domain issues... LOL...
THEN, you’ll note that your article that you quoted in your post says — “Well placed senior sources at the US Embassy in Beijing CONFIRM the formal written agreement was delivered by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton during her recent trip to China.”
HECK! It doesn’t *even say* -— WHAT — was contained in the delivered document. Note that carefully. The writers of this story have “spun” the so-called news that some document was delivered to the Chinese into a story that it supposedly backs up what they’re saying... LOL...
On top of that, the *source* is those so-called “well placed senior sources” ... double LOL...
With that kind of attribution, I could make up *any story I wanted* out of absolutely nothing and make it sound like I’ve sold the entire country of the United States to space aliens of another space civilization and the UFOs we’ve been seeing are them coming in to collect the debt... :-)
This is a phoney-baloney story. And you know it’s a phoney-baloney story when you’ve got people quoting “You-Tubers” for authoritative sources...
I saw that ‘private agreement’ and really got me wondering. I hadn’t seen anything before and only found these on a Google search.
I could only hope it was false ... however, I wouldn’t put anything past this Administration or the Clinton’s.
