The last drive-in theater in our neck of the woods closed this year. At least A&W Drive-Ins aren't on the list. We still have one in our fair city (don't care what Forbes says - I like it here). They still have car-hops on roller skates. A fun place on Friday nights... A live band sets up in the corner of the parking lot. The owner has an old Packard parked on site with the A&W logo emblazoned on the front doors.
Now Billie, you're not gonna have kind thoughts towards me because of your dial-up situation, but I received an e-mail this am with a PowerPoint presentation, "Highway of Heroes". It came as an attachment on the e-mail and it's fantastic! I searched the internet to find a site that is hosting the presentation and here's a link... BTW, have a box of Kleenex handy...
Highway of Heroes
click the links, you won't be disappointed
Thank you for sharing “Highway of Heroes”, Dave! Beautiful! (but, no Lee Greenwood)
I hope WayzataJOHNN sees it, too. There IS love, respect and honor of our troops, not only in America.
I can’t do Power Point presentations, Dave. Know there are many wonderful presentations, but I always remove Microsoft Office Suite when it comes with a new computer because it’s so huge a program and I don’t need or want to learn to use it when I have other software that I am already familiar with that does everything I want.
Our last A&W left here quite a few years back...too bad! When Sonic Drive-In’s started here, they did the roller-skating for a while and then it fizzled out. I think we may have one drive-in theatre left (and I could be wrong on that)! I will have to check out that information.
Great Powerpoint! Kleenex were needed! I get a lot of those but can’t post them. How do you search that out so that you can post it? Just now and then there is one I would like to share!
