Maj, "DH" means; dear husband, or darling husband, or, sometimes; dumb husband, or darned husband........or, d___ (fill in the blanks) husband, depending upon the context of the sentence. If you think about it, LOTS of adjectives begin with "D", LOL. But it USUALLY means "darling husband". :-)
Hope you had a wonderful day!

A bunch of Tennessee Freepers met Saturday outside of Johnson City, TN (called Boone’s Creek) for a picnic. None of us had ever met each other and it was just a wonderful day. I believe Freepers are always nice. After a few minutes, you would think we had known each other forever.
The host was MHGinTN and his family owned the property with the nicest shelter. He furnished all the food since this was our first get-together. I posted my pictures on their site today and didn’t want to post them again at Amy’s.
Look for my post # 36 at this link: (Hope I’m doing this right..LOL!)

Good Monday Morning, Jaycee.
I read part of the picnic thread ....
sounds (and looks) like everyone had a wonderful time.
I really enjoyed your pictures.
I have found that you are never a stranger when Freepers get together.
Thanks for sharing your pictures and your report.
Have a beautiful Monday.

And to think algor beat her for the prize.

A Lady Named Irena Sendler
There recently was the death of a 98-year-old lady named Irena Sendler.
During WWII, Irena, got permission to work in the Warsaw Ghetto, as a
Plumbing/Sewer specialist.
She had an ulterior motive....She KNEW what the Nazi's plans were for the Jews, (being German). Irena smuggled infants out in the bottom of her tool box she carried,
and she also carried in the back of her truck a Burlap sack, (for larger kids).
She also had a dog in the back that she trained to bark when the Nazi soldiers let her in and out of the ghetto. The soldiers, of course, wanted nothing to do with the dog, and the barking covered the kids/infants noises.
During her time and course of doing this, she managed to smuggle out and
save 2500 kids/infants. She was caught, and the Nazi's broke both her legs and arms and beat her severely.
Irena kept a record of the names of all the kids she smuggled out and kept
them in a glass jar, buried under a tree in her back yard. After the war, she tried to locate any parents that may have survived it, and reunited the family.
Most, of course, had been gassed.
Those kids she helped were placed into foster family homes or adopted.
Last year Irena was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize....
She LOST.
Al Gore won for doing a slide show on Global Warming

WOW! What a great place to have a picnic! TN is a beautiful state, and the FReepers at the picnic are all beautiful people! (Especially our very own JC!)
I have met a few FReepers, and a great time was had by all! (Luv W, Hijinx, Ms.Behavin, laurenmarlowe, quix, randy (and Mrs.) Larsen, NYTexan, AZAmericonnie.)
Too bad we can’t have one HUGE get-together with all FReepers! Thank you JC, for sharing your pictures with us!

How on earth did that happen? Who callously pulled what strings where? And how many times has it happened before.
The rot is too deep to see.

She sure is a pretty one, for sure. I love the black and white and just surrounded by blue and holding the blue flowers. She is precious! (And that is some jazzy music...LOL!) Thanks, ladies!
I have been busy fooling with those pictures I posted a link to! It made my back hurt! Just tenseness, I suppose!
To make you hungry, I just made some delicious potato soup and toasted some left-over cornbread. I don’t have to tell you how delicious it was....yummeeeeee!

Christlike hospitality is an open heart and an open home.
That is so lovely and sweet. Thank you, Mr. Mayor, for a very good lesson today.

I’ll be right over .... it sounds delicious.
Thanks for the Graphic and Music comments. Again Billie did a beautiful job.

What time did you say the potato soup & cornbread would be ready?! :)
Thanks, Jaycee - it was fun working on that little bitty pretty one. :)

Oh, Lady Jag, I’m having to Hold Back my Fingers from Typing what I Think of Albert Arnold Gore; that Despicable Person “Winning” (Really, a Rig Job; it was Fixed), instead of that Dear Lady...it’s just Beyond Words.

Well, there is plenty left over! I would love to share it. I don’t fix potato soup often and it just hit the spot with me today. If you get time, check that link out for the pictures I made at the Freeper picnic. None of us had ever met each other. Isn’t it strange how everyone gets acquainted and feels right at home. Its a bit amazing. I pinged Jim. He knew, I think, we were having a picnic.
Another fellow Bert, made pictures and his were up above. I worked on my pics a long time. They were dark, faces dark, and I think they looked pretty good when I finished. But like I told someone, it made my back hurt. Loading to computer, then finding them, taking to Tiny pic and reducing the size, then editing the color, was a very hard job. Plus posting a description above each.
