Lil E. Tee, the 1992 Kentucky Derby winner campaigned by the late Cal Partee of Magnolia, was euthanized Wednesday at Old Frankfort Stud in Kentucky because of complications from an intestinal problem. He was 20.
Cal Partee Jr., a senior partner in Magnolia's Partee Flooring Mill, the company his father founded in 1948, was unaware of Lil E. Tee's death until a reporter called Monday afternoon.

My daughter’s favorite plowhorse died the same way, at about the same age. Barney was a Belgian-Quarter cross, heavy enough to work, and fast enough to ride. Not family, like a dog can be, but we miss him and tell each other what Barney woulda done with that log, or to that dog. He didn’t always tolerate little yippies underfoot.

Upon further review...I was just informed that the horse named Dance Floor was owned by M.C. Hammer. So, there ya go. :-)
