Back in the 70’s and even the 80’s my buddies used to trap and hunt coon, fox, muskrat, coyote, rabbit and mink for fur and make good money at it. Not even worth the time to do it now.
There’s still a few that trap coon. To make it pay anything worth your time, you gotta find a market for the carcass as well as the pelt. Probably not legal, but they do it.
