Well, the reason I chose that topic was that I had a large cache of never-published family letters from the period that I found in a great-aunt's breakfront.

The writers were 'movers and shakers' and heavily involved in postwar politics.

It made for an entertaining and highly politically-incorrect thesis.

But I finished my schooling before political incorrectness could get you a failing grade.
