I think even God will forgive you for going to a baseball game if it means staying off unemployment!

Remember the joke about the man that is drowning but had faith that God would save him? God tried by sending out all sorts of help to the man, but the man kept saying "No I have faith that God will save me" the man drowns and when he goes to Heaven he asks God why he wasn't saved, and God says I sent you all the help you needed, you just didn't accept it.

Maybe God sent this job offer to you to save you from unemployment. Don't miss the chance!

Thanks for your perspective. I am not sure whether I meet with them this weekend or the next home stand will make or break me getting the job. Although they are interested in me I know that the talent pool is very deep these days.

I made myself a promise several years ago; I was with my (ex)husband on business in St. Maarten and it was Good Friday. We were working, drinking and partying like it was any other day. I suddenly experienced such an empty feeling that I couldn't shake. It was as if God was letting me know I was putting all of the least important things ahead of him. It took me a while to rearrange my life back to what really matters most. I hesitate to compromise on this again. Besides, I can pay my bills and not be a burden to anyone for a long time. Frugal has become my middle name:)
