who does the Inkheart series, I’m just starting Twilight series, finished True Blood series and really liked them

Finally, Capricorn realizes that the best way to lure Mo to his remote mountain hideaway is to use his beloved, oblivious daughter Meggie as bait!
It sounds cute! I know these are kids books, but they are great escapism and cleanse the palate after all the crappy news of the day.
Cornelia Funke is the writer of the Inkheart series. She is German. They are very well written and keep you turning the pages.
