I fell asleep during Shep’s 7 o’clock report, and didn’t wake up until 8:20. I missed Kris and Matt. Then Scott came on and I fell asleep again.
I liked the way Smokey dealt with the kids. He was very kind and encouraging.
Adam is very handsome when not hiding behind a crazy hairdo. Kind of Burt Reynolds-ish.(In Burt’s very early days, on Gunsmoke.) He’s a pro at the singing,too.
Michael is the same all the time. He better be ready to go back on the rig.
Danny is very ordinary. Nice guy, but not very exciting.
Anoop surprised me with his crooner voice. Very nice.
Corky was weird, off-key, offbeat, and terrible. She’ll be going home.
Lil was pretty good as a Vandella or whatever she was in that wig and fringey dress.
Allison—WOW!!! I finally woke up completely when she sang. As Kara said, that voice is from God. All the money in the world can’t buy that kind of talent.
I don’t think Sarver will go back to the rigs. Every one in the top 10 has a job well into 2010. They go on tour, and do public relations appearances, and sing at a variety of benefits, etc.
Sarver will be ok. He’ll go on tour, get an agent who will get him some coaching/lessons, and then he’ll cut his commercial release.
And then there’s rumors of a weekly entertainment show featuring past Idol’ers and guests.
