His song is "Can't Hurry Love".
Smokey: I think he brough the song up to date. Very contemporary. I have no negative comments for Scott's interpretation. Multi-talented artist. Enjoy him all the time.
Scott is playing the piano again (so much for mixing it up, Simon), but he has the "supremes" standing right next to him as he plays. They sound better than he does. His voice is too "white" for this song.
Paula: Having the singers surround you on piano brought a whole new life to your performance.
Simon: Oh dear. There was a line in the song "how much more can you take?" (boos from the audience) It wasn't a great song. Honky-tonk piano. The singers were a mess for you. Completely the wrong song for you. A bit cheap. You're better than that as an artist. You keep choosing the wrong songs.
Randy: I don't agree with Simon often, but ... It wasn't the right song for you. Nothing great happened for you.
Kara: I disagree. You brought tempo! Finally some tempo! Some things I didn't like. You had some good ideas, but the execution wasn't perfect.
Simon, Paula and Scott bicker over the song choice.
Paula: I have something for Simon!
She ducks under the table for several seconds. Simon looks worried. The audience is hushed.
Seacrest: We're not allowed to show that on TV.
Paula finally pops up with a big box of crayons and a coloring book and tosses them in front of Simon. Heh.
Simon laughs hysterically, probably because it was so stupid.
Scott bores me on many levls;song choice;singing voice...
For Paula, every day is a rainbow.
