American Idol 8: Jennifer Hudson To Return, But Could Simon Cowell Bring In The President?
http://www.buddytv.com/articles/american-idol/american-idol-8-jennifer-hudso-27219.aspx
This week’s American Idol only starts tonight, thanks to Fox covering yet another press conference President Obama has called. It’s been the second time this year, and while I understand the need for the media to cover what the government is saying, with all the economic issues and everything else, I find it slightly funny that the show’s been slightly derailed by these press conferences.
And it’s somewhat funnier to hear that show judge Simon Cowell hopes to have the president himself appear on an episode of Idol. We’re trying to get him to do a show at the moment, he said in a phone interview with a British radio station. I did get a name check from him tonight. He was on The Tonight Show talking about how everyone in Washington is a critic and then he said: Unfortunately they’re all like Simon Cowell.’ I’m not sure if it’s a compliment or not. (You can hear the full interview by clicking here.
after the article there is a poll
Would you watch American Idol with Barack Obama as guest?
Sure. It’d be fun to see him there
I’d watch it for something else
No way. What will he do there, sing?
I'd set my DVR as always, and FF right over the One.
For cryin’ out loud! Will he EVER stop his attention whoring??? We watch AI to get away from him!
LOL!!
I imagine it would involve some cheesy dialogue with Seacrest :(

LOL reminds of the country song about Santa Claus where they sing “He’s everywhere, He’s Everywhere”. Hopefully we will be seeing BO on Survivor-D.C. as he trys to outwit Barney Framk and his gay pool boy. Then he will be doing cameos in all the Lifetime Movies of the week and replacing the dwarf on Chelsey Lately show.
Guess Who’s Not Coming to Dinner?

Related: Barack Obama, Simon Cowell
You know something is very wrong in the world when reality TV show hosts are too busy for the president.
PR Inside reports that Simon Cowell turned down a dinner party invitation from Barack Obama.
This is less than a week after Barack had given Simon an epic shout-out on “Jay Leno,” saying, “I do think in Washington it’s a little bit like ‘American Idol.’ But everybody is Simon Cowell. Everybody’s got an opinion.”
Simon appeared last night on “Leno” and ever-so-smugly mentioned this invitation (name-dropping to the max), “He wanted to have dinner and our diaries didn’t quite match. We just didn’t quite connect.”
First of all, Simon, be a man and call it a day planner. And while we understand reality TV show hosting in conjunction with model-dating can simply be exhausting, when the leader of the free world, Barack-star Obama, invites you to dinner, you go.
Meanwhile, Paula Abdul waits by her phone.
Way to go Simon. So BO is now some high powered Call-back-Agent that if you diss him you want be working in this town again. MSM is so lame.
