What's their rule on experience? Some of them are in local bands that play for money, but broadway and commercial CDs seems professional to me.

Ok I have a joke since you will not answer me.:)
Late one night, a burglar broke into a house he thought was empty.
He tiptoed through the living room but suddenly he froze in his tracks when he heard a loud voice say: “Jesus is watching you!”
Silence returned to the house, so the burglar crept forward again.
“Jesus is watching you,” the voice boomed again.

“That’s a dumb name for a parrot,” sneered the burglar. “What idiot named you Clarence?”

Don’t know that they have an experience filter.
That’s proven by Adams obvious professional experience, and to me having sold a CD for money, or won other competitions.
In the end voters will take all that into account. To me let the songs be a challenge for both, and may the best person win.
