It has nothing to do with his appearance. It has to do with the fact that he screams out 3/4ths of the lyrics on all songs. There’s a reason they have more then 1 contestant each season. Different strokes for different folks.

Loud singing on key is not screaming. He certainly did not scream on “Mad World” a few weeks ago. He can do both, that’s why he’s star quality.

Good choice for her. She performs very well considereing there was no rehearsal.

Randy: Did not like the song choice. Not enough melody.

Kara: Janis is the right choice for you. "Piece of My Heart" would have been a better choice. I think you transform when you go out on stage. I see your personality.

Paula: I think if they ever do a bio-pic on Janis Joplin, you've got the role!

Simon: I thought you had complete control over that performance. It was--complement--sound alike. [Wanted her to sing a different song]

There's some back-and-forth between Allison and Simon over the song choice. It's pleasant, but Simon says she's talking too much now.
