I suspected those waffle bowl were good for a lot of things. If they are good for tennis elbo then they must also be good for wii elbow, too, so I’ll have to remember that! ;)

We had our first Sonic open about a month ago and there are still double waiting lines for cars to park.

There was a Sonic here for a couple of years, but they closed and a local restaurant took its place. I never got around to trying Sonic.

LOL, it was built on a hill in front of a busy 4-lane highway. I imagine it was dangerous for the waitresses on rollerskates :)

The Sonic food developers have got to be a bunch of fat stoners.

LOLOL!! It's like they're daring the food police to come after them :)

The closest we have to that now is Hardees (aka Carl's Jr.) They have chili-cheese fries--there's so much chili and cheese on 'em you need a spoon to find the fries. And my personal favorite: The Six Dollar (really $3.99) Bacon Thickburger!

And for breakfast ...

They have healthy stuff, too, but if I'm driving 20 minutes (the Sonic isn't really close) I'm going for the junk.

Bacon Thickburger!

That is a big burger. For some reason we've never had Hardee's or Carl's Jr. near here.

In high school, my friend was way out in west central IL (which is very country) with his family. I don't remember the circumstances, but they wanted to stop for food and couldn't find any place. So they asked some kids where there were places to eat. The older kid (about 10) named off a bunch of places and then said, "Oh and there is a Hardees. That's some good eatin!" The other little boy nodded and said, "It sure is!"

That story still cracks me up.

Either one of those sandwiches look good!

We have Hardee's here. We'll have to check that out sometime. My son didn't care for hamburgers for the longest time, now he'll them. He likes them plain or with bacon and cheese, that's it.

We have Red Robin and they are pretty good, but, if I'm going to have a burger I like going to Max & Ermas.

On Monday's they have a buy one get one free special on their gourmet burgers. I like their Tortilla burger. A 10 ounce burger with cheddar, pepper jack, jalapenos & tortilla strips, on a bun, with a small side of soup for dunking, plus the lettuce, tomato and onion on the side so you can fix it the way you want.

I eat the tortillas off the burger first though. We found a curious thing though with this place. All burgers have the Max which is 10 ounces or the Erma which is 6 ounces. For some reason the Erma is not anywhere near as good as the Max.

The first time my husband went he got an Erma sized burger and found it unexceptional, so we went back another time and he got the Max and he kept talking about how good it was all the way home. I have no idea why there would be such a big difference in taste, but there is. I told my cousin, whole told me about this restaurant, and she said that she has heard that from a lot of people. So, now I tell people if they go there for a burger to get the bigger sized one.

I have this complete aversion to Red Robin. I’ve gone exactly once about 4 years ago and it was a nightmare. It was like a Chuck E. Cheese! Kids were running every where, the waitstaff was rude, and we had to wait just under 65 years for a table. We were meeting friends otherwise we would have left immediately (not to mention our friends were super late and told these horrible stories about their kids potty training when they did arrive).

Two days later, my husband and I got the worst virus ever! I was as sick as I’ve ever been in my entire life. We were both out of work for a week. Neither of us could drive because we were both so dizzy. It took about 3-4 weeks before I felt 100%. We called it the Red Robin Virus.

After all that, I can’t bring myself to go back there.

Kris and Adam have both signed with 19 Entertainment. Adam is with RCA Records, and Kris is with Jive Records.

The issue of Rolling Stone with Adam on the cover comes out this Friday.

A link to the RollingStone.com article that accompanied the release of the cover.

Why is there a butterfly and a snake on his crotch?

And something even more disturbing on that cover: "Secretary of Saving the Planet"?? I'm gonna puke.

Adam "comes out" officially in that interview, but he also says he would be surprised if anyone didn't know he is gay.

As for the "Secretary of Saving the Planet," Obama has so many secretaries and czars that one can only hope they will all devolve into the backbiting, intrigues, and palace coups that were common in the days when kings and czars ruled the world. If they're busy imploding and fighting each other, maybe they will do less damage to the Republic.

Yeah, that is odd. I mean, why not just have a big arrow and the words, "LOOK AT ADAM LAMBERT'S CROTCH!!!" in bright red letters on the cover. It would be more subtle.

Rolling Stone really had a fascination with crotches on their cover. Remember that super disturbing picture of Al Gore?

That was probably his first idea :)

I remember the Algore cover--LOL!! That was so stupid. Bill Clinton had a "look at my crotch!" magazine cover too. I think it was for Esquire or GQ though. It was right after the Lewinsky scandal.

Classy :-/

Yeah, I think it was for Esquire. {shudder}

In other news, I finally got the Wii Fit for my Wii. OMG It is so super fun. Not the greatest workout, but I didn’t think it would be. The little games are a riot. There is one that is a tight rope strung between buildings. You stand on the balance board and lean left and right to make your Mii go across the rope. Then there is this little chomper guy (I saw it in Mario Galaxy, too) that comes at you and you have to jump over him and land back on the rope (you can’t actually jump on the board, but you make the movements of jumping).

I love the Wii. I don’t know why I go for long periods without playing it.

Wii does sound like fun. I love games, but I don't play as much as I used to. I still have a PS2 and an Xbox that's seen better days, LOL :)

If I don't talk to you later, have a great weekend!

I’m not much of a gamer generally. I did have the Nintendo when it first came out (I am still the Tetris Queen!) and then I had a Sega Genesis. Something else was coming out (maybne the first Playstation?) and it was way marked down.

I had a regular Playstation and pretty much the only game I ever played was Tekken. I *LOVED* that game! I always wished the polar bear was a better fighter.

Someone who is a serious gamer, like a fan of Halo and Resident Evil games, might not like the Wii for those types of games. But for silly interactive games, it’s a blast.

You have a great weekend, too! :-)

American Idol: Adam Has A Crush On Kris

http://realitytvcalendar.com/shows/ai-8/news/al061009.html

American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert comes out as gay in the new issue of Rolling Stone magazine and admits he had a crush on Idol winner Kris Allen.

Lambert reveals he found Allen attractive at the beginning American Idol when they were roomed together at the Idol mansion. “I was like, ‘Oh, sh—, they put me with the cute guy. Distracting! He’s the one I found attractive in the whole group on the show: nice, nonchalant, pretty and totally my type – except that he has a wife. I mean, he’s open-minded and liberal, but he’s definitely 100 percent straight,” Lambert says.
