Hate to say it in this instance, but . . . . I told you so.
When I wrote a column about how Bristol Palin remains a single mother--a baby mama--and had no legitimate reason to prolong getting married, several worshippers at the alter of St. Sarahmessiah told me I was wrong, that these two kiddie-parents (the Palin daughter and boytoy Levi Johnston) would be married this summer.
But, you see, I never believed they'd be married. In fact, I thought their engagement was a fiction put on by the Palin family to help win the Presidential election. And, unfortunately, I was right. As I noted, this kid had a very pretentious name ("Tripp Easton Mitchell Johston"), but not what was far more important--a father married to his mother....
But the issue I do care about is who will be the next Republican Presidential nominee. And how so-called social conservatives continue, with a straight face, to praise baby grandmama Sarah Palin (and chose her as their conservative of the year). She was not at home, when the pregnancy happened. She was busy blindly chasing her ambitions. And this is what happens when you have a working mother and a Mr. Mom, i.e., the Palins. Now, Todd Palin can proudly wear a new title, Mr. Grand-Mom....
The only one I feel sorry for here: this kid, who has the misfortune of being born to a single mother in a family that has far more pretensions than actual good values. Good luck, Tripp. You'll need it. For your sake, I wish it were otherwise.
Sorry, kid, but you're just not the luckiest bastard on earth. Or even in Alaska.
(Hmmm . . . am I still allowed to use the word, "bastard"?)...

LOL
LOL! When I was 17 my mother stayed home a lot more than I did. That’s why God invented driver’s licenses.
Sure she will.
I cannot stand the fact that her family WILL
be the main event if she continues to put
herself ahead of their well being.
Right. I support Sarah, but she is a big girl. She doesn’t need us censoring any criticism of her (even when it is petty and off base, which most of the time it is).
I can agree with that. Journalism has fallen so far these days that most of it seems like something you would expect to read in the National Enquirer.
“I am surprised to see Debbie write this. Didnt think she was such an insecure female.”
I was also surprised to see she wrote this. I thought she was above the pettiness she expresses here. But thoughts of the heart can’t help but expose themselves eventually, I’ve heard.
And over the years, the list grows ever longer......it has even reached the teen-boyfriends-family of said candidates now.
Wow, it is any wonder we have so few candidates that run for office, between the MSM/DNC/Hollywood/Academia war room, and the “perfect” base, not many stand a chance.
I do not have one.
Believe or not.
No you don't. He's a target for you to spit at from your high horse.
You don’t want to tell me your favorite candidate?
thank you for posting Debbie’s picture.
It confirms what I suspected after reading her ugly words.
Have you seen her ALL-CAPS rants in the comment section of the original article?
Geez, lady, try decaf....
Rather not. Do you have a tendency?
Wow, that is an astonishing statement!
So, the father and his family have no interest in the child?
Perhaps the best selling book in history will settle this point.
The Bible sometimes ministers through ridicule, humor, sarcasm and even mocking. For example, God mocked the Midianites when He defeated them after sending a nightmare to them that they were being attacked by a loaf of bread (Jud. 7:13-14).
Elijah, just prior to executing 450 prophets of Baal, "mocked them" as the Bible says, telling them to yell louder to their god so that Baal could hear their prayers since he was either on a trip, sleeping or in the restroom (Hebrew, "private place," 1 Ki. 18:27; and 2 Ki. 6:8-20).
By the current standards some “Conservatives” apply to candidates, we would have NEVER gotten a Reagan.
Yup. Debbie Schlussels ugly rant is on the same level as the Bible. Just go away.
“In the Bible it says the leaders of the church must have demonstrated leadership of their family.”
So how would you have applied that principle to Ronald Reagan?
Beakers of bile, venom, adrenalin, and cat spit were spilled, and the combined puddle struck by a freak lightning bolt, and... there she was.
And Governor Palin has successfully run the state of Alaska, fought the corruption in her own party, adn continues to do her job. Based on your thesis, then I believe she more than qualifies for bigger and better things. Though if I were her I would not do so because this country is absolutely friggin nuts.
