Actually it is. The characters are based upon the Charlton Comics heroes that DC bought. Captain Atom, Blue Beetle, The Question...

DC got cold feet on letting Alan Moore depict them as rapists and murderers.

Haven’t read the original or seen the movie but I read somewhere that Moore wrote it because he was terrified and hated Reagan. Was that the case?

I never bought any Charlton Comics. Had I known Steve Ditko was doing the ? and Capt. Atom I most certainly would have.

Kirby may have been the king, but I always liked Ditko.

Again, that’s not Hollywood folks... Watchmen was a graphic novel published a while ago, had nothing to do with Hollywood.

If you think the watchmen is kiddie fair, you are just an abject idiot.
