It is so beautiful, so homey...I love it! It absolutely needs nothing, sweetie! Thanks much!
yorkie, that is beautiful with a frame! I love crocus!
Thank you Billie, for the beautiful Robin graphic! Thank you, Amy, for posting it! It is just perfect for the first day of spring!
I have a crick in my back! Been playing with tables/frames tonight and have set too long.
Goodnight Everyone!
Sweet Dreams to Each!
And, oh! Ahem!
Sweet! Thank you, JD
Loved the pics, Dolly! Great scenery, good food, and some very obvious happy times! I am so glad you had such a good trip. Thank you for sharing them with us all!
I got a Garmin GPS for my birthday, and the memory card (or a major part) was missing - same thing happened to two friends.
But, I have another friend who has one, and loves it! Good luck with it!
Love your kitty Haiku Jack! Thank you so much!
also, thanks for GPS info. A friend wants to get me one(garmin) but I was afraid that it would be too complicated for me. Thanks for heads up on memory card situation.
Am I a Free Man? -— absolutely wonderful! thank you
Dolly, I was just reading about you wanting a Garmin GPS. Are you speaking of the one for the car? My son has one (computer son) and he bought his girlfriend one for Christmas. He and girlfriend have broken up (again) since Christmas! Tell me what you need to know and I will find out for you! He tells me they are wonderful
A couple of months before Christmas, son’s girlfriend was going over to North Carolina and he took his and put in her car temporarily and then surprised her at Christmas with her own. Hate to say it, she’s an unappreciative little ——! LOL!
Just gorgeous, yorkie! When I can find them like that I grab them! Looks like there would be a place with only framed things. I did a search for that one time...LOL! Had no luck! Now and then I will run across one though.
That is a beautiful picture. I did some pretty lilacs with tables and haven’t posted it yet. Just waiting for something special before I post it...
Snugs, how beautiful and delicious looking. You are quite the cook! You have made me so hungry!
So glad your dad enjoyed your special cooking, snugs! Again, I thought he looked great in those last pics you made at home.
He is very alert, mentally the same as before he went into hospital, he is still my phone directory he can remember numbers much better than me, plus it does him good to think of them.
His appetite is good and he is cheerful the only real problem is his mobility but the standing hoist does help it gives his body a good stretch twice a day without the distress of a sling hoist which he hated.
On the subject of the urine bag again, we had a minor problem with that on Thursday night when the tube was by passing and unfortunately causing the urine to run down his leg.
I had been advised that the District Nurse Service offer a 24/7 emergency cover so I rang the out of hours number and was pleasantly surprised that within an hour and half a nurse was with us and changed the catheter. I get 3 monthly supplies of bags and spare catheters delivered so that if it needs changing all I have to do is ring the number and request a nurse to come out to us.
On the whole I have been pleased with the level of care we are getting mind you it is costing the local authority a lot of money and we have pay a weekly contribution but it is worth every penny as I do not have to worry about washing dad or making his bed or even getting him into the chair.
The carers come in 4 times a day, once in the morning to wash and change his bed. Then just after lunch and if necessary change his gown or maybe the bottom sheet or just change his position in the bed. Then again at about 5.00pm to put him in the chair so that I can give him his dinner, then about 7.00 - 7.30pm to put him back into bed. After that depending what is on TV or how he feels he may have a sleep or I may wheel the bed down to my end of the room for the evening, returning him to his end about midnight. From his end he can still see the TV and hear it with his hearing aid so he is again catching up on FNC etc.
This re-leaves me to look after cooking and other things around the house, though we also employ a private cleaner who helps with the washing up and laundry.
All in all though things are working much better than I could have hoped.
