Some healthy fun about the topic is reasonable to me.
However, the Oligarchy crafted derision schtick has played very effectively for 60+ years and even serves quite too well to stifle genuine dialogue about the topic hereon.

It is a mathematical certainty that life exists elsewhere in the universe.
I accept this.
It is also a mathematical certainty that intelligent life exists somewhere in the Universe.
I accept this as well.
Will we every meet these critters, ever? No. not likely. There is no way to communicate over vast distances. Radio just don’t cut it.
UFO’s are the creation of people who dont have anything better to do apparently. Study the things all you want, but dont be surprised if I don’t get excited by it.
I know your passion is your purpose. But is there purpose to your passion?
