June 5, 2009 Albuquerque, New Mexico - Since my Coast to Coast AM radio news update on May 28, about the 300-foot-long triangular craft that hovered over the hunters’ camp trailer at about 100 to 200 feet, I have received more than a hundred other eyewitness reports of similar craft going back to the 1960s and up to the present day.

In late July 2006, I saw something very similar. I was traveling westbound on I-80, approaching South Bend, Indiana, about 11 p.m. In the distance was what appeared to be very bright, white airplane landing lights low in the sky. What made me pay attention was the fact that they were extremely bright, they didn’t seem to be descending, and they were stationary. While there is an airport near there, it seemed unusual. As I got closer, the highway curved so I couldn’t see the lights as they were obscured by trees, but as I came around the bend, and passed over a bridge, I looked to my left to see if they were still there. I was stunned to see a large triangular object with the configuration of 3 large, white lights and and a centered, larger red light on the underside of the object.

I couldn’t accurately assess how high up it was or how far away it was, but based on a tower nearby, I guessed it was about a half-mile away and about 500 feet in the air, so it seems that a size of 250 feet along each edge of the triangle is reasonable. The white lights I saw earlier in the distance seemed to be on one of the sides of the object that faced east as I was heading for South Bend. There weren’t any similar lights on the side of the object as I passed by. The thickness of the object seemed to be about 10-15% of the length. The corners of the object appeared somewhat rounded. There was a significant amount of ambient light, so I could see some definition of the side facing me. I really couldn’t stop and pull over to take a longer look as traffic was moving pretty quickly at the time.

My background: I’m an electrical engineer and computer consultant who travels frequently and am pretty knowledgeable about most civilian aircraft. I also have a pretty good familiarity with many military aircraft. I’d never seen anything like it, so when I got home and began researching a bit, I came across the discussions of black triangles on the web, but the illustrations accompanying your Earthfiles article more closely resemble what I saw.

Definitely, something was there. Not a hallucination.

I saw a flying triangular aircraft in the late 1990s, around ‘98 or ‘99. I was working the 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. shift at my job and had went outside at 5:00 a.m. for a coffee and cigarette break. I was working in a commercial/business area of Plano, Texas, at Campbell Rd. and I-75, just north of downtown Dallas. I was located in the city not a quarter mile from I-75.

As I drank my coffee and smoked my cigarette under the awning of my building, I suddenly saw an aircraft approximately 100 yds above me. The craft was only visible due to the white lights on it and the single red flashing light that was located approx. one third into the center of the aircraft. The craft was very much like the one you described, but it was not 300 ft. It was more like 100 ft wide and long. The aircraft also had more than 3 lights on it. The craft I saw had six white lights on it and one flashing red light.

The craft was black, I guess, as it was not visible in the black sky and I believe it may have had a light absorbing texture or paint because it did not reflect light nor did the parking lot light show the craft outline. The craft was only moving about 30 to 50 mph (I guess, very slow) and the time I viewed the craft was approx. 5 to 10 seconds. I was trying to pay attention to details when it happened as I knew I was seeing something that most people have never seen before. The craft did not make a single sound, nothing, zilch, Nada!

Another very important thing that I must note: there was no wind at all while the craft was flying over. This was not a helicopter, it was not a normal plane. When the craft had moved above and in front of me and I was about to lose sight of it, I was looking to see if I could tell what the back looked like. But it was not visible and the rear of the craft looked very thin. The craft was headed from north to south direction and was just off the highway.

I got the feeling that this craft wanted people to see it, as it was lit up literally like a Christmas tree. An ex-Navy friend suggested that maybe it was a new blimp of some sort, but I just don’t know. This took place at Glenville Rd. and Campbell Rd. I also included a quick paint representation of what I saw.

My story is in response to the story I heard May 28, 2009, on the Coast to Coast AM radio program broadcast out of Augusta, Maine, on WLOB Radio 101.3 FM. The story I am referring to is of the triangular object reported to have been seen by Kris Bales and reported by Linda Moulton Howe.

I also have seen a very similar thing. I was not alone when I witnessed this event. I am not sure now of the exact year. I am guessing it to be around 1987 or 88. This took place in Industry, Maine, in a rural area. Myself and about 5 or 6 other people were at my then girlfriend’s parents home just hanging around outside by the vehicles. I think we were getting ready to leave somewhere and there were a few other people there. Was a very nice sunshiny, summer afternoon. We were all just chatting standing by the car getting ready to go when suddenly it got dark, like a huge rain cloud just happened overhead, which is exactly what I thought when it just suddenly got dark. I looked up to see what kind of storm would be moving in so fast and to my surprise, just about centered over us, there was this huge, black, triangular craft. It had to be at least as big as a football field. It was just about centered over us when I looked up. It was so big and so low that I really couldn’t see the sides of it even. I tell people that it was so low I think I could have thrown a rock up at it and hit it. It was probably not that low, but being so large, I had that feeling.

There was no sound at all except for was I think of as what any object might sound like as it went through the air silently. I call it a whirring sound, like something against the wind and moving. No mechanical or jet engine sound. No smoke or vapor trail of any kind. I do not recall seeing any lights or markings of any kind. It was almost an equilateral triangle shape, but maybe a bit more pointy at the forward area.

I seemed to be the one most concerned with this thing. Everyone just kind of put it off as a new stealth type of jet, although that sort of thing is not common. I should have reported it and made better documentation of this, but I didn’t. The craft was also moving very slow. It was hard to believe that something so large and with no visible or audible engines running could hold such a thing in the air at such a low speed.

My immediate thought was that this thing had lost its means of propulsion and was looking for a place to land. This is in a mountainous area, by the way. There is/was a field about two miles away in the direction that this craft was going. My idea was to hop in the car and drive to that area to see it land. A few of us jumped in the car, and drove as fast as we could to get to to the field about 5 min. away. We got there, got out of the car, turned off the car’s engine, but didn’t see a thing or hear it. This is the end of the story. This story is true and there had to have been others that day that also seen this. I am curious if anybody else did report on this.

In the late 80s/early 90s, I was stationed in the U.K. with the United States Air Force as a special units officer of the CIA and worked on the Flying Triangle project as a sound technician. I studied the affects of the craft’s sound emissions on the environment so I was not privy to all of its workings. But from what I know, the three circles at the outer points generated low amplitude sound waves that crashed with each other in the center which also contained a huge magnesium, circular, flywheel-like device. The three crashing waves kept the wheel in balance. If they moved the wheel slightly in one direction, the craft would instantly travel in that direction as the unit tried to balance itself. It could stop on a dime once balance was allowed. This craft could hover and fly at incredible speeds and made no sound to the outside viewer/listener. It used very little electricity and when I left they were fitting it with solar collectors to test space travel. But I was unsure if this thing could perform in space. Its capable speed has nothing to do with the speed of sound. When out of balance, the craft will continue to accelerate faster and faster. Our test speeds were limited by the size of the Earth’s atmosphere.

I’ve noticed increased reports of these crafts over the past few years and it appears they are making them a lot larger than the original test units. But, these are Earthlings, not ETs. [ Editor’s Note: Other sources insist any human-made triangular craft is back-engineered from retrieved extraterrestrial technology.]

The biggest developmental problem I remember was the vulnerability of the diaphragm-like area between the circles. Any size penetration, like a small bird, would send the craft tumbling out of control. It looks like the newer versions have an additional outer surface to overcome this.

One of the pilots told me it was like flying a hot air balloon. They could hover a few hundred feet above people and hear everything they were saying.

One other thing I remember that they found out by accident was that if two of these crafts got too close to each other in flight, they would stick to each other like magnets. It wouldn’t harm the flight of the craft, but it was weird. When I left, they were studying this and were testing sticking them together in flight like pieces of pie. But no one had suggested a practical use for this ability.

The last thing I can say about this project is that the guts of the craft were designed and made at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City. I’ve been there many times. The main building had no windows and personnel were told it was used for the stealth bomber project, but that was not its true purpose. You can see the building I’m referring to by visiting the base. It is the only one with no windows and has its own special security detail.

The 1966 Westall UFO incident

Another interesting UFO case from Australia, this time a School in Victoria.

At approximately 11.00 am on Wednesday, 6 April 1966, a class of students and a teacher from Westall High School were just completing sports on the main oval when an object, described as being a grey saucer shaped craft, with a slight purple hue and being about twice the size of a family car, was sighted.

Witness descriptions were mixed: Andrew Greenwood, a science teacher, told “The Dandenong Journal” at the time that he saw a silvery-green disc. According to witnesses the object was descending and then crossed and overflew the high school’s south-west corner, going in a south-easterly direction, before disappearing from sight as it descended behind a stand of trees and into a paddock at The Grange in front of the Westall State School.

After a short period (approximately 20 minutes) the object - with witnesses now numbering over 200 - then climbed at speed and departed towards the north-west. As the object gained altitude some accounts describe it as having been pursued from the scene by five unidentified aircraft which circled the object.

It’s interesting to note that the 5 aircraft has never been explained, the RAAF denied any knowledge of these craft.

The military turned up quite quickly to investigate the area and question many of the students and staff and then told them to downplay the incident, also the bureau of meteorology stated that they released a weather balloon on Wednesday and it could have drifted to the school.

A new investigation was conducted by Shane Ryan, an English lecturer at the University of Canberra in 2006, the 40 year anniversary of the incident.

Around 30 of the witnesses from that day were interviewed.

On the UFO, everyone seems to agree, Mr Ryan says. It was a low-flying, silver/grey shining object, either of classical flying saucer shape or close to it, “a cup turned upside down on a saucer”. The students were familiar with light aircraft because the schools were close to Moorabbin Airport. Although the UFO was of similar size, “everyone said straight away that they knew it was not a plane”, Mr Ryan said, nor a weather balloon.

The object was in view for up to 20 minutes, and many saw it descend. Most agree it landed behind pine trees at the Grange Reserve. Dozens of students ran across what was then an open paddock to the reserve to investigate, but the object had lifted off and vanished.

One of the closest witnesses was a boy whose family leased land at Grange Reserve for horses.

Shaun Matthews was on holidays and spending time on the land.

“I saw the thing come across the horizon and drop down behind the pine trees,” he told The Sunday Age this week. “I couldn’t tell you what it was. It certainly wasn’t a light aircraft or anything of the like …

“I saw the thing drop down behind the pine trees and saw it leave again. I couldn’t tell you how long it was there for, it was such a long time ago.”

Mr Matthews, 51 and now living in Greenvale, said the object “went up and off very very rapidly”.

“I went over and there was a circle in the clearing. It looked like it had been cooked or boiled, not burnt as I remember,” he said. “A heap of kids from Westall primary and high school came charging through to see what had happened — ‘look at this, look at that, we saw it as well’, that sort of thing. It was a bit of a talking point for a couple of days.”

Mr Matthews said the object, about the size of “two family cars”, passed him at a distance of about “four football fields”. “It was silvery, but it had a sort-of purple hue to it, very bright, but not bright enough that you couldn’t look at it,” he said.

“I saw that it dropped down behind the trees, and I thought, ‘hello, hang on’. A minute or so later, it went straight up, just gone.”

He said police and other officials interviewed his mother. But he cannot remember them burning the landing site, as others have alleged. And he did not see any light aircraft trailing the object, as others did.

“The way this thing moved there is no way it could have been a weather balloon or a light aircraft,” he said.

“A helicopter? No way — no noise, wrong shape, and it didn’t move like it. It came out of the distance, stopped, and then just dropped.

“It didn’t just sort of cruise and then slightly descend at an angle. It just stopped, dropped, and then went straight up.”

Update June 12, 2009: Police Say “At Least 33 Cat Mutilations
Since April 2009,” in Southern Florida.

Update June 12, 2009: Miami-Dade police report that since April, 33 dead and mutilated cats have been reported to their animal cruelty unit. Those cases happened in Palmetto Bay, Cutler Bay and Kendall, Florida, suburbs of Miami.

Three more mutilated cats were found on Thursday morning, June 11, 2009. One cat belonging to Joylene Ceballos does not fit the historic pattern of half cats and other cat mutilations since at least the 1980s. Her striped 12-year-old tabby cat was discovered “chopped into pieces.” The other two dead cats found Thursday morning were killed, according to Miami-Dade police, by “a pack of dogs.”

The day before on Wednesday, June 10, 2009, five other cat mutilations were discovered in Palmetto Bay. At noon time, a cat belonging to a Miami police officer was found dead and cut in a front lawn of the police officer’s neighborhood. “Everyone in the neighborhood knows it’s a police officer’s house [where June 10 mutilated cat belonged to police officer]. Another police officer lives right across the street. It’s just crazy someone has the nerve to do this,” resident Michael Miller told Local 10 TV.

So far, no one has been arrested and the reward for information leading to an arrest in the cat mutilations is up to $12,000.

Original Report June 6, 2009 Palmetto Bay, Miami-Dade County, Florida - Since May 14, 2009, twenty-six dead and mutilated cats have been found in the Cutler Bay and Palmetto Bay region of Miami-Dade County and by June 3, 2009, two more mutilated cats were found in Lauderhill, Broward County, northwest of Miami.

Palmetto Bay, Florida is about three miles square, 90% residential and was not incorporated until 2004. There is a Palmetto Bay Police Department and it sent six officers to investigate a recent bloodless cat body found in the 16200 block of Southwest 89th Court. On Friday, June 5, I was able to talk with the resident who found the cat.

Interview:

Palmetto Bay Resident: “The cat was laying on the right side, sex not known.

WHAT WAS EXCISION LIKE AND WAS THERE ANY BLOOD?

I never saw any blood and I don’t know what the other side of the cat looked like because I only saw one side. There was a bloodless excision of cat hide 2-inches wide and 3 to 4 inches long from the spine to the abdomen. The shape of the excision was the shape of a football. I didn’t see any blood, so it’s like something was done somewhere else and then the cat was dropped back to the front yard. To my eyes, it did not look like anything had been done at the site where I found the cat.

ALL FOUR LEGS AND THE HEAD WERE THERE?

Yes.

WHERE WAS THE EXCISION EXACTLY?

Right above the rear, left leg (cat laying on right side). The football-shaped removal of the cat’s hide was 2-inches wide from spine down 3 inches to the center of the abdomen.

There seems to be a lot of different variations to the mutilations here. Sometimes they are described as ‘disemboweled.’

ANY CATS CUT IN HALF THAT YOU KNOW ABOUT?

Not that I’ve heard about in Palmetto Bay, but he police and animal care organizations are keeping details from the public, I guess because they don’t want to set off mimics.

I UNDERSTAND THERE HAVE BEEN HALF CATS REPORTED, PERHAPS IN CUTLER BAY AND THE MOST RECENT IN BROWARD COUNTY. WAS THE MUSCLE TISSUE VISIBLE IN THE EXCISION?

I think so. The cut looked like it was sort of skinned and not a hole penetrating into the body. There was muscle tissue there.

In this Palmetto Bay and Cutler Bay area there have already been 26 cat mutilations. After I found the cat, my wife called the Palmetto Bay Police and six officers showed up.

DID THE POLICE TAKE THE CAT FOR A VETERINARIAN NECROPSY?

I don’t know. I had to leave and my wife called the police.”

History of Mutilated Cats

“Some of the cats were cut in half with what some say
is almost surgical precision, others disemboweled or skinned. One resident said, ‘There is never any blood at the scene, the animals are often dismembered
with surgical precision and paws and other body parts are often left on the ground in strikingly similar arrangements.’”

Bloodless half-cats and other excision variations have been reported in Florida, throughout North America and England for decades. When I was in England the summer of 1999 for crop circle research, I learned that the London Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals had received dozens of reports from residents who found on sidewalks or front yards their cats and rabbits disemboweled or cut in half or even decapitated. And usually without blood on the animals or at the site.

Florida has had many previous cycles of reported half cat and other kinds of cat mutilations. On Saturday, June 30, 2001, in the small beach town of Navarre, Florida, about fifteen miles east of Pensacola in the panhandle, a cat was found strangely cut up near its home. Northeast of Navarre is Eglin Air Force Base on Choctawhatchee Bay. Across the bay is Desin, Florida, where there have also been reported cat mutilations.
