When I dared to mention illegal immigrants, she flew to their defense, saying Ca needed their cheap labor. Then proceeded to tell about the cheap projects they had negotiated under the table. Just oblivious to the drain on their system from the welfare and perks from these illegals. I couldn't believe my ears. This from an intelligent woman!! Not surprisingly, she also hailed Obama's election as a MOMENTOUS occasion.

I'm afraid I have to respectfully disagree. I wouldn't call your grand-niece intelligent in the least.

A huge majority of Californians voted to not give illegals either social services, health care, or education a decade ago. The state - and the nation - would be vastly different today if the will of the people had been allowed to stand.
