Thanks for posting this Granny. I have been couponing for the past 6 months or so and have also started stockpiling. It has helped a lot with our budget and I have been able to find quite a few things for free.<<<

I have used the coupons on and off over the years, it is always a good feeling when they cashier deducts the coupons from the bill.

Try refunding too, Mary and I got quite a lot of money and gifts with that method.

The City dump, LOL, sounds grand for the small town we lived in, but we did find the needed ‘proofs of purchase’, there and it was all free money.

“Try refunding too”
My sister and I did refunding big time when our kids were little. I had a shelving unit set up in the basement where we had all our packaging saved and then we would go through and mail all our refunds in. As the kids got older and we got busier, we let it go. I still mail in a refund or 2, but most require the register tape be mailed with it as proof of purchase.

My husband does the refunds from Menards home improvement store. Most items are free with rebate. Then he saves the rebate money (Menards money). In about 6 months time, he had earned enough rebate money to pay for a drill press.
