Just in and tuckered out as usual, but got to catch up on this thread before retiring. Corn is very, very particular about sprouting at low temps. I just love fresh corn so much that I sprout some in the house, plant and cover with black plastic just to get a jump on the season. Tedious work, planting that sprouted corn, one kernal at a time, but worth it when you finally get to eat it.

I had always heard that corn didn’t transplant well at all, so being the stubborn person that I am, I planted 144 (2 trays) and have put them out - they are doing great!

Going to have to extend that cold frame next year, or finally get the half greenhouse moved up to the South wall.

It is nice to see 6” corn this early...

Oh, correction to our temps...... They are now calling for 37º tonight... Hope your garden makes it as I know it will be colder up where you are.
