Seems like it has turned into ‘Byrd Land’ though. Lots and lots of Gov’t. projects and operations there now.

Well I much prefer ‘Byrd Land’ to “Murthaville”. ;) And most of that stuff is along the I-79 corridor and we don’t have to deal with that. :)

LOL! I think it's better than 'Next to Heaven' - isn't it 'Almost Heaven'? I love it more than any place I've never been to!

I think without Byrd's pet projects there, the area would be even more fiscally repressed. I'm not saying that's right, but I can see why they people there keep voting him back in. He's not as bad as new Democrats, though. He wrote a great piece on why amnesty is wrong a few years back. And recently said that Obama's appointing czars violated the separation of powers. At 91, though, change is a coming.
