Do you remember the old days, when you could see at a glance what was going on, I mean if the stock market went down, gold went up, next time it would be the gold dropping as the stocks went up. I do not. I've only been watching the market for about 20 years at most
Then about 20 years ago something changed and it was not so clear cut.
I used to think this was due to technological changes, but in reality it probably had more to do with the huge amount of debt we've taken on.

You may be correct.
I gradually noticed that the old rule of one up and one down was no longer working.
