>>>I think the GPS guy bamboozled me. I met him at the door and asked if that was a GPS in his hand.<<<

Nope, they can even do it from the road. They have targeting equipment that they can sight through, aim at your front door (target) and it will give them the exact coordinates. Mostly used by military though.

>>>he was working for the Dept of Commerce, not Obama and he was wearing a badge stating that he represented the Dept of Commerce. <<<

Boy, that was a fib... 0bama - The One - has put the entire census under the Chicago mobster Rahm Emanuel - his chief of staff. He doesn’t trust Dept. of Commerce to do it - they won’t ‘adjust’ the data to suit him.

>>>after 60 plus years, my seaweeding days are over.<<<

You know, Maine has sure lost a whole lot of stature in my book here lately... What did they do, import a bunch of Vermonters or maybe from Massachusetts to run things? I understand same sex marriages are the officially sanctioned marriages there now.

I used to be one of the lead volunteer instructors for the Delaware Nature Education Society - but with the influx of wing-nut know-it-all, politically correct, ignorant ‘ecologists’ today, I wouldn’t even consider associating with them.

Today, kids cannot take a single leaf from a State Park so they can build an identification key, cannot take a seashell or anything - for any reason. I used to take kids out to a natural cranberry bog - even let them eat a couple - you don’t dare do that now.

Seems to be a mentality of exterminate the people to preserve the environment for the elite.

Boy, this could get to be depressing... Maybe the 5 days of dreary rain we have had added to that... Well, guess I should be thinking of how it is helping the hundreds of Poplar cuttings I put out. (they are taking off!) Just wish I could get into the garden without sinking to my ankles.

Yes, I really mourn for my state. Growing up, my avidly Democratic family (they still are-I’m the only one who has seen the writing on the wall) were lone agitators in this mainly GOP state. Now, they fit in nicely, while I am the agitator in the crowd. There are some avid right-wingers in the northern parts, but the immigrants and the “give it to me free and now” crowd in the southern more populated parts of the state have ruined this beautiful place.

Some days, I just feel too tired to fight city hall any more. That seaweed is rotting fast and the town workers will be bulldozing it out where it will just come in and out with the tide, wrapping itself around the tourist's ankles until a storm takes it farther out to sea. All of my recent plantings of berries, fruit trees and ornamental shrubs are loving this weather but they all will be crying for some sun if we don't clear off soon (me included.)
