LOL, mine has taken me on some not so stellar roads too.
Like through a farm, past the barn, down the back lane and out to another road there. Of course I did stop and visit, ask about his cows, chat about the price of milk, complimented his alfalfa, then asked if he minded if I went out the back way like this danged GPS kept sending me. Actually, it was a 12 mile shortcut.

Oh, both mine are 4X4 Jeeps - TJ and Liberty. When I want to go - I want to go.

LOL, you devil, that is what you are.

Yes, I have been known to feel the urge to do the same type of thing.

Some of those gov fools just beg to be led down the path.

all this game playing reminds me of when we lived in Wellton, the first homestead after you left Mexico 40 miles away, over the Yuma desert and a mountain range.

We often had illegals, but we also had the dope haulers stop to ask for the almost hidden road to Mexico, it was the alternate El Diablo highway to the California gold fields, a hundred and maybe hundreds of years old, but not easy to find, unless you knew how to get on it.....it was a couple hundred yards from our front door.

Since we prospected the bombing range and were often out on it and even had permits from the bombing range to go on it, and were furnished maps by them, so they could ask us to look for and turn in things off their weapons.

We also had turned him a few loads of dope, that showed up at the house attempting to get on or off the El Diablo road.

There came a day when we would be checked out, a couple young men, white shirts, straight out of the FBI academy, claimed to be related to Bill, [they were not] and they kept wanting to buy “something”, so I offered billy goats, poultry and some of the useful junk in the yard.

Let it be clear, Bill and I did not sell, deal or use dope of any kind, ever.

Both of us were a danger, as we hate dope as one of the most evil things ever invented.

We figured they were feds and they kept showing up and wanting Bill to take them out in the desert.

Their stories were not good and if we had been bad guys, they would have been in trouble.

Instead, under the advise of our local Sargent/Sheriff, Bill agreed to take one of them out in the desert.

And he did, along with his “mining partner”.

The mining partner, was the head of the local narcotics team.

We never heard from the relatives again, after the trip and the Sargent would never tell me any thing, only “forget it, you will not be given any details”.

I promise you, I could train the feds better than they had been, when they came to my house.

There will be many of the gps guys lost in the woods and over cliffs, it has to be.
