Yes, I have often heard that cold water is not good for you.
My own real experience is that cold water will do great harm if you are over heated.........you will only drink too much of it once and never again.
I did ...once... and laid in the floor, in great distress for quite awhile....and never took that chance again.
When I work in the heat, I sip coffee, or room temperature water, never ice cold, until the sun goes down.
When we lived in Wellton, Az, and were the first place 40 miles from the Mexican border, the men who walked that in 115 degrees, could do it on 2 gallons of Nescafe, [Mexican instant coffee], they would make it in gallon milk jugs and head out.
Sometimes they had to do it on one gallon and were in bad shape when they reached us. A few even died.
Even now, I still drink room temp coffee, after the first hot cup in the morning and at night.
