>>> The worst case scenario would be a period of deflation, where a lot of people lose jobs and companies close, and then hyperinflation. <<<

I'm much too old and have too poor a prognosis to get twisted about the future, making personal peace is a blessing, I'm concerned about my family and attempting to make sure we have food and the means to survive.

that's a very harsh reality for me

what I’m being told is:
“Citing the dollar currency tanking, gold (and Oil) soaring, along with the unknown of troubled assets,
most opinions I receive are pointing to your W/C scenario.

from growing up DEEP in the woods, it's funny,... but it kinda feels like going back in time...

I'm so sorry to hear that.....(not that you aren't 'twisted' about the future - that part is good)

Am I reading the Labor Stats right - unemployment is really at 15-16%?

My husband was just saying that if/when TSHTS and we move to the mountains, life will be very simple. Not easy, but simple - the getting and preparing of food and every day necessities will take on a greater importance than it has now. And all other trivialities will fade in importance. I kinda like the idea. This last summer, I lived in the woods and tried to have a Thoreau-style life. It was marvelous! So, I'm not really dreading the worst case as much as I might otherwise be.

Where did you grow up?
