Maybe I am missing the cooking shows, by not having a tv, LOL, but look at all the other stuff that I don’t have to see.
Years ago, there were good cooking programs on the radio, but I don’t know of any today and not on the stations that I get here.
Nigella had a show called ‘Nigella Bites’ ... and she’s a gorgeous Italian looking full figured woman. You perhaps know whom Ina Garten is, such a pleasant woman! But if you’re missing Alton Brown and ‘Good Eats’, you’re missing some of the best TV available. Did you know there is a ‘kitchen stadium’ American style ‘Iron Chef America’, with ‘iron chefs’ who take on challengers to feed a four panel judging system? Alton moderates that show, also. Soem of his prgrams on Good Eats are the funiiest stuff on TV, and always informative regarding food and food preparation. He even cooks with a bucket and charcoals, and occasionally using stuff from a junkyard.
Well over the last few months I have almost put a shoe (Ha)through my TV screen thousands of times, except I would be forced to buy a replacement but in better times it would be worth it..
you can get most all of the recipes from the food network (lately one of my favorite channels ) at
Alton is my favorite and he goes to stores in Atlanta which I used to frequent. as I was mostly recovering yesterday I followed his instructions on pizza dough and now i have “window pane” dough !
will try and contribute some links today.
