Dont forget to make candied orange peels, while you can.<<<<
We have gone through 2 batches of it in the last 2 weeks...
That stuff is addicting!!! BUT GOOD!<<<
Dela, would you please post the instructions again, LOL, that will be faster, than trying to find where it was posted the last time.
Oh, I am sorry. I would just have skimmed over something candied! I just don’t do that sort of thing normally. So, ir it’s too much trouble don’t worry about it.
The orange peels are already in the freezer so they may not be worth anything to candy anyway. I freeze them and grind them to get rid of fire ants.

Gosh, it is really easy...
Cut about 4-6 orange or lemon peels or a combination thereof - Limes would work too - into strips about 1/4 inch wide and then cut to 3/4 inch lengths -
Put it into a small saucepan and add 2 cups of white sugar and about a cup of water - boil for about 15 minutes and then let it sit to soften and absorb sugar (about an hour) heat again while stirring and bring to about 232 degrees F. or till a thin strand of it will turn to a crackling thread in cold water. I like a bit of cinnamon which I now add and stir well. I am sure other flavorings could be added too. I then stir it just to keep the pieces separate until it cools enough for the pieces to remain individual pieces.
Some people like to cook it a bit less and then roll it in granulated sugar, but I let the sugar crystalize as it cools. Store airtight...
Enjoy... (I rate this one as super-easy)
