Speaking of Texas - It took me a long while to get used to Orange and Yellow meated watermellons... Good, but that color did not prepare my salivary glands for the right taste.

Okay, another slightly humerous family story. My littlest daughter went into a very ill-advised marriage right out of high school. She married a guy on vacation from Isreal. Marriage was over shortly but funny story is that the guy was amazed with yellow watermelons also. The couple had eloped in July so in August when I found out I had a watermelon supper to introduce him to the extended family. We had to have red and yellow watermelons. Son-in-law was terribly interested in that different color thing. I told him all the watermelon meat was the same color inside before the melon was cut and it only turned to red or yellow upon being hit by oxygen. Told him the meat was always blue before the first cut was made and then when the O2 hit the inside it changed color.

Dude bought the story. LOL Didn't know some of the Texas BS ratings I guess.
