However, I did plant almost 100 root tips from scallions I found in my compost today. Maybe I’ll get lots of onions from them. <<<<<
I had to laugh out loud at that one.
Yes, I get fresh food once a month, when Scott goes shopping.
This month, he forgot the shopping list, so didn’t get half of it, said it was in the car.
Without him, I would have no fresh food, I lived a year without it and got only the bulk /and dried from Walton Feed.com, as they do not have fresh.
They were good to me and shipped to me at once, even large orders, as they knew it was not for storage, or only partly.
That is why I do not even consider a different company, I checked prices etc, before my first order and you may find something on sale elsewhere, but over all for the stuff I use from them, I will save in the end by staying with Walton.
Guess my grapes will have to serve as tomatoes this time.
I had to quit driving 5 or 6 years ago, I kept passing out and did not know why.
I posted another of the grain type dishes last night, for sausage made from grains, as I think we would be wise to know how to fix it and it should be good, in the south we ate fried cornmeal mush, hominey grits could be fried and even leftover oatmeal.
A little onion and an egg and you have left over mashed potato patties or bean patties to fry in bacon drippings and I like those.
THAT is one of my absolute favorite things to eat!!!!
It used to disturb my grandfather that I wanted cornmeal mush so often. He'd had times in his childhood when that's all they had and he wanted to give me better. But, I can eat the mush or fry the mush and just love it!
I also like bean patties and potato patties. Unfortunately, I love potatoes but am allergic to them. I grow them. I know at some point I may *have* to eat them or nothing. But, they make me very ill.
