>>>>>But I took my bowl with the yeast in it to the goat when I milked and milked a cup or two onto the dry yeast, covered it to keep the heat in and went on with my milking.

Right temperature or enzymes in the milk, I don’t know, but it can’t be matched, one of my brain storms that worked.

And I used goose eggs in them.<<<<<

I can see them trying to follow the ‘revised’ recipe - put my yeast in a bowl and run down to the local goat milker and get them to milk a couple of cups into my bowl then cover and run to.... Now where do I get those danged goose eggs.....

I used to have about 50 White Pekin ducks and loved their eggs. Almost as big as a goose egg and much richer than a chicken egg. Problem was they would lay them all over the place and you had to float test them and candle them cuz you had no idea how old they were.

I don’t remember mine being so careless with the eggs.

In Texas there were Banty hens that did not live in the chicken house, and they had nests in some of the strangest places.

The loved hiding in the old car parts, in the junk pile, a
Model A fender would be just the ticket for a Banty nest.

Did you ever keep the Indian Runner Duck?

I still want to add enough black to one and turn it into a Penquin.

They are said to be the best egg layer and are very popular in Australia.

I offered to help, but none every took me up on it.

For one of the meetings, I took a chocolate cake a tube cake.

When I was making it, I noticed some home made fudge crumbs and they were dried out, so I tossed them in the cake pan.

LOL, when we cut the cake I had a fudge lined tunnel in the middle of it.

Have tried to do it again and it never made the tunnel for me again.
