Egg cartons are highly flammable, many being made from recycled paper fiber. They are excellent fire starters.<<<
Yes they are.
Some will melt old candle ends, melt and pour in the egg places and put a wick in it.
Then they tear off one section and use it to light the fire.
If one were testing seeds, one could use the plastic egg cartons filling each section with potting mix.
Or some use half an egg for a pot, then crush it and plant the seedling on to the next sized pot ....
Also any one who does have chickens, would love to have your supply of egg cartons.
Thanks for stopping and posting.
We sure do appreciate the egg cartons (however we do have to mark out all the printed portions and put our own information name, address, grade, size, yada yada yada on them to be legal...) We give most of our surplus to daughters and wife has a couple of people at work going through really hard times (sickness, family, financial) who treasure them...)
Oh, if you are testing seeds to see if they are viable, easy way is to put about 10 on a folded paper towel, fold half over them and dampen - keep damp till they sprout - easy to open and verify germination - 1 sprout = 10% germination.
