LOL - Funny, but can you imagine how many will try just that... (Hmmm besides being illegal to shoot from the roadway plus drinking while hunting) Lots of those big game hunters will come out of the woodwork... That’s OK though, will keep the deer back into my area... Hehehe

Best thing about your post is the mailman thing. My wife is a postal carrier. Her route is rural and in the winter she struggles. I work nights and sleep during the day. There have been so many times that my wife has needed help on her route during the winter months but she hasn't called me. Stuck in a drift or a gully it doesn't matter, the woman will never call me. Granny can appreciate this but she's most Blackfoot Indian and always seems to find a way out of a bad situation. My six is covered.

I applaud your efforts to help your neighbors. I do a similar thing but not quite as extensive as you. I help those who appreciate it and are actually in need. During actual snow or other weather emergencies, I usually lead the way. We live in the sticks and have some folks from the city that live down here that actually sometimes need help.

One thing I might add, if the Schumer ever does hit the fan, I have one neighbor that I can count on. He has a garden almost as good as mine. He has the means to defend himself and his family. We have an agreement that if and when it comes down to it, we both have each others back.

In my EMAIL this PM..........:o)

Real or not ......sweet !

April 17, 2009
The White House
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW
Washington , DC 20500

Mr. Obama:

I have had it with you and your administration, sir. Your conduct on your recent trip overseas has convinced me that you are not an adequate representative of the United States of America collectively or of me personally. You are so obsessed with appeasing the Europeans and the Muslim world that you have abdicated the responsibilities of the President of the United States of America . You are responsible to the citizens of the United States .. You are not responsible to the peoples of any other country on earth.

I personally resent that you go around the world apologizing for the United States telling Europeans that we are arrogant and do not care about their status in the world. Sir, what do you think the First World War and the Second World War were all about if not the consid eration of the peoples of Europe? Are you brain dead? What do you think the Marshall Plan was all about? Do you not understand or know the history of the 20th century?

Where do you get off telling a Muslim country that the United States does not consider itself a Christian country? Have you not read the Declaration of Independence or the Constitution of the United States ? This country was founded on Judeo-Christian ethics and the principles governing this country, at least until you came along, come directly from this heritage. Do you not understand this?

Your bowing to the king of Saudi Arabia is an affront to all Americans. Our President does not bow down to anyone, let alone the king of Saudi Arabia . You don’t show Great Britain , our best and one of our oldest allies, the respect they deserve yet you bow down to the king of Saudi Arabia . How dare you, sir! How dare you! You can’t find the time to visit the graves of our greatest generation because you don’t want to offend the Germans but make time to visit a mosque in Turkey . You offended o ur dead and every veteran when you give the Germans more respect than the people who saved the German people from themselves. What’s the matter with you?

I am convinced that you and the members of your administration have the historical and intellectual depth of a mud puddle and should be ashamed of yourselves, all of you.

You are so self-righteously offended by the big bankers and the American automobile manufacturers yet do nothing about the real thieves in this situation, Mr. Dodd, Mr. Frank, Franklin Raines, Jamie Gorelic, the Fannie Mae bonuses, and the Freddie Mac bonuses. What do you intend to do about them? Anything? I seriously doubt it.

What about the U. S. House members passing out $9.1 million in bonuses to their staff members - on top of the $2.5 million in automatic pay raises that lawmakers gave themselves? I understand the average House aide got a 17% bonus. I took a 5% cut in my pay to save jobs=2 0with my employer. You haven’t said anything about that. Who authorized that? I surely didn’t!

Executives at Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac will be receiving $210 million in bonuses over an eighteen-month period, that’s $45 million more than the AIG bonuses. In fact, Fannie and Freddie executives have already been awarded $51 million - not a bad take. Who authorized that and why haven’t you expressed your outrage at this group who are largely responsible for the economic mess we have right now.

I resent that you take me and my fellow citizens as brain-dead and not caring about what you idiots do.

We are watching what you are doing and we are getting increasingly fed up with all of you.

I also want you to know that I per sonally find just about everything you do and say to be offensive to every one of my sensibilities.

I promise you that I will work tirelessly to see that you do not get a chance to spend two terms destroying my beautiful country.
Sincerely,

Every real American

SAFETY TIP

PUT YOUR CAR KEYS BESIDE YOUR BED AT NIGHT This tip came from a
neighborhood watch coordinator. Tell your spouse, your children, your
neighbors, your parents, your Dr.’s Office, the check out girl at the
market, everyone you run across: Put your car keys beside your bed at
night. Just press the panic button for your car if you hear a noise
outside your home or someone trying to get in your house. The alarm
will be set off, and the horn will continue to sound until either you
turn it off or the car battery dies. Next time you come home for the
night and you start to put your keys away, think of this: It’s a
security alarm system that you probably already have and requires no
installation. Test it. It will go off from most everywhere inside your
house and will keep honking until your battery runs down or until you
reset it with the button on the key fob chain. It works if you park in
your driveway or garage. If your car alarm goes off when someone is
trying to break in your house, odds are the burglar/rapist won’t stick
around... after a few seconds all the neighbors will be looking out
their windows to see who is out there and sure enough the criminal
won’t want that! And remember to carry your keys while walking to your
car in a parking lot. The alarm can work the same way there. This is
something that should really be shared with everyone. Maybe it could
save a life or prevent a sexual assault. My Mom has suggested to my
Dad that he carry his car keys with him in case he falls outside and
she doesn’t hear him. He can activate the car alarm and then she’ll
know there’s a problem. It would also be useful for any emergency,
such as a heart attack, where you can’t reach a phone.

Simponi (golimumab)

Audience: Rheumatological healthcare professionals
Centocor Ortho Biotech and FDA reminded healthcare professionals of the risk of serious fungal infections associated with TNF- lpha blockers, including Simponi [golimumab]. FDA has reported that histoplasmosis and other invasive fungal infections are not consistently recognized in patients taking other TNF- lpha blockers including Cimzia (certolizumab pegol), Enbrel (etanercept), Humira (adalimumab), and Remicade (infliximab). This has resulted in delays in appropriate antifungal treatment, sometimes even resulting in death. It is important that all adverse events potentially associated with Simponi be reported so that the adverse event profile reported in the prescribing information can be updated appropriately as post-approval experience is gathered. Centocor encourages reporting adverse events to Centocor at 1-800-457-6399 or to the FDA MedWatch program at 1-800-332-1088.

The righteous either got tired of standing up against it, got silenced by it, or joined in the fun, but the breakdown has always been there.<<<

Welcome to the thread.

Yes and no on the break down of society, the gangs go far back in time and of course crime is crime.

Listening to the scanner is not new to me, for I started in the 1970’s when I worked for the Wellton Court.

I hear more mental illness, more senseless attacks, for the pleasure of giving pain.

More of rape, murder, gang attacks, and we are not hearing it in the news.

I hear of bomb explosions, that you will never see in the news reports.

Attacks of gas and oil pipelines and not just one line reports, but detailed reports from one officer to another.

There is much to be afraid of.

promote anti-American values but puts their mother earth above ordinary folks, then drive back to their McMansions and pat themselves on the back for all their good works that they believe “karma” will reward them for...just because they have helped elect a hope and change socialist/communist/Marxist that as an added bonus happens to be a minority and illegal immigrant.<<<

Good rant, and so very true.

You have my prayers and hope for both of you to find jobs, keep in mind that you have both the equipment and knowledge to survive.

What about salvage, if you could beat the trash man and join Free Cycle, you might have enough for a garage sale and the swap meet.

Take time to visit the swap meet and see what folks are buying.

My sister is thankful for the Freeper prayers and you will have them also.

I wish you were here, you could have a long time job selling all my stuff, it is time to admit that I need the money worse than craft supplies and ‘junk’.

Now if I can just find some sweet potato slips, I will have my early garden complete (and the spuds get here and they are in the ground).<<<

You boys be careful with those dangerous toys.

For sweet potato plants I would start with Sandhill Preservation.

Maybe, they have had twice as many orders this year:

http://www.sandhillpreservation.com/pages/sweetpotato_catalog.html

I have ordered their seeds and love them, always dreamed of their poultry, never got to order the poultry.

I ordered about 25 different tomato seed types, all old from them.

I love your photo, it reminds me of some bow hunters that we laughed at for a full weekend a few years ago.

They found the trail for animals to the windmill/water tank.

It was a cow grazing area and did have deer.

But these fools, stood in their camouflage gear, on the edge of the main road down the valley, all day waiting for a deer.

We were cutting wood on a friends property and hauling it out past them, some 4 or 5 trips, and going in hauling an empty 16 food trailer.

There was no deer, that was stupid enough to cross that road in the middle of the day on a weekend, when all the valley was full of us city dudes.

Bill would never stop at the “Falling Rocks” sign so I could check out the rocks for good ore samples and who knows, one of them might have been a jewelry rock.

Granny can appreciate this but she’s most Blackfoot Indian and always seems to find a way out of a bad situation. My six is covered.<<<

Is it because we are closer in years to our native days when for survival we depended on ourselves first and others second?

I am always surprised that folks think that I think differently from them.

Most Indians 200 years ago, did not rush to the local Walmart to find a solution and smoke signals were so slow.

Actually, it was my all english, mixtured husband, with a dash of German to make him stubborn that got all the help, when he ran out of gas........due to the fact that he never got around to fixing the gas gauges and did not watch his driving distances, LOL, he ran out of gas so many times, that one woman started keeping a 5 gallon can of gas for him in her garage.

When I ran out of gas, I was so mad, for he was the last to drive the car, that I sat on the 395 freeway, under the I-8 freeway in San Diego and asked the cops to call him and tell him to get there and fix the problem........but I had a good book to read in the car and was ok.

Bill was a good man, just didn’t maintain his cars, of course, he would claim that he didn’t have the time, for he was always working on his honey do list. And he worked 6 days a week.

You are lucky to have good neighbors, for we do not in this area, never have had, they are all non helpers, the kind who will throw stuff in the trash, rather than give it to Goodwill.

Interactive map creates online memorial to troops

Each year on Memorial Day, tens of thousands of Americans visit Arlington National Cemetery just outside Washington to pay tribute to the men and women who died serving the United States.

For people who are unable to make the trip, a new online memorial provides a unique way to honor those service members who have fallen in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The new Google Earth layer, called Map the Fallen, enables the user to pinpoint where, when, and how each service member died since the beginning of the war in Afghanistan. A line connects the service member’s approximate location of death to his or her hometown.

The interactive tool — available at mapthefallen.org — also offers a detailed profile of each person.

Sean Askay, a Google engineer with no military affiliation who developed the layer in his free time, explains the project on his blog.
