You are so funny....did you ever think about being a comedian?
I got an email one time that said “It was really good to live in a small town when you were older and forgot what you were doing because someone else in that small town could tell you what you were doing.”
At least your police department was on your case! LOL~~~
BBL~~~
I’m no good at stand up—do much better writing my thoughts down, but thanks!
I really do love living in a small town. Even if you don’t have any family close, you feel like you do, because everyone is always in everyone else’s business.
Here’s another funny for you guys. When #2 son was in kindergarden, maybe first grade they went on a walking field trip of the town. I went as chaperone. We went to the post office—MIL/grandma and FIL/grandpa both worked there. Police dept—BIL/uncle. Day care—SIL/aunt. Garden center—me, and #2 knew everyone else there by name. At the bank, he knew all the tellers. At the town hall, the mayor and most of the employees. Library, same thing. One of the kids finally looked at #2 and said, “Is there anywhere in town we can go that you’re not related to someone or don’t know everybody?”
We just about rolled right there. I never thought about it that way but it was hysterical.
Polly—we prob shouldn’t but we still leave our cars/house unlocked. I’m dreading the day when we can’t. Standard response to can I borrow your car? Sure—keys are in it.
Y’all have a great day!
