I wouldn’t have thought about find the ring he lost with a metal detector - but guess if you know ‘about’ where you lost it, it might be pretty easy to find that way. I lost a diamond pinky ring about 10 years ago, but didn’t have any idea where or exactly when I lost it, so it’s never been seen since.
The older gentleman was picking rutabagas out of my boss’ patch, so boss felt kinda responsible. Metal detector was sheer genius. The man with the md runs a small garage. He closed shop and went right then. Such is life in a small town. I love it. :)
