Well, I'm sure I saw him as the blurr of riders whizzed by. I only got two still shots of the 4 leaders as they passed my location just west of town. Then I switched to video when "the pack" turned the corner if front of us. Lance and team-mate Levi were buried in the pack somewhere.
Glad I went to see it, though. Got drenched in a couple of downpours, but nothing like the bike riders. I had a warm jacket.
They're racing again today down south from Merced to Clovis, and they'll be down near Mama Bear's country tomorrow.
Here's a still I captured off the video of "the pack"...

I like that exciting picture, Dave....bet that was fun to see! It has rained here all day. Very dark and gloomy!

Oh, what a neat picture, though, Dave! Brrrrr - don’t like being wet and cold! The bikers probably didn’t feel cold - they were working so hard.

This is for everyone, but I am pinging a few who I think might be interested in this. JK went out this morning into the country west of town and photographed the riders on the next stage of the race. He sent me a link to six pages of photos, but only these two pages have photos of the cyclists. You can enlarge the photos by clicking on the thumbnail and then arrow through the rest.

It's hard to tell how fast they are going, but it looks like they are pacing themselves to get ready for the hills to come.
I wouldn't know Lance Armstrong if he was front and center, but maybe some of you might be able to pick him out of the pack in these photos.
