Well, I just got the answer from a human. They're trying to fix the problem. My guess is they're also overwhelmed -- this is the first standard of the v3 series (a.k.a 2009) to be released, not to mention that it's the one most likely to be used in a down economy.
I can be patient if I know it's being addressed.

That’s like my cell phone service. We had a lot of trouble with it at first, then we realized that no one (at the phone company) had anticipated such an overwhelming response to their advertising.
Everything is fine, now. No more dropped calls or fading signals. It’s probably because we “all” called and let them know their service was “inadequate.”
