That would work. When we get the dry bread on clearance, I wrap it in damp paper towels and nuke it.

I’m surprised you don’t make your own bread.

Bread-makers are cheap and easy to come by at thrift stores. All you have to do is set it up in the morning and you have fresh bread for dinner, at less than the cost of stale bread.
