We’re fortunate that much of the making of Venus suitable for man can be done by existing plants. Problem is, we still have to build the structures for them to occupy.
What we really need are some bio-engineered organisms that can spread around the planet on their own. Then we move in and take over.
When settlers came to North America, they made much of what they needed to survive out of the existing forests. It will slow down our colonization attempts if we have to grow our own trees.
